Financial media for everyday Americans
Privacy
This page explains what reader-submitted and technical information may be collected, why it is used, and how privacy requests are handled.
What the contact form collects
Our contact form collects your name, email address, subject line, message, and your consent acknowledgment. We use that information to respond to editorial questions, reader feedback, source notes, privacy requests, and fact-checking submissions.
Why we collect it
We collect reader-submitted information to manage correspondence, evaluate corrections, answer requests, review feedback, and maintain a usable editorial inbox. We do not ask for unnecessary personal data in the contact form.
How information is used
Submitted information is used for communication, internal editorial review, error handling, source follow-up, and privacy administration. We do not publish private contact-form submissions without permission unless disclosure is required by law.
Retention
We keep correspondence only as long as it is reasonably necessary for editorial operations, fact-checking records, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or follow-up on reader requests. Messages tied to corrections or privacy matters may be retained longer when documentation is necessary.
Technical data
Like most websites, servers, analytics tools, and security tools may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location, referral data, and page-level interaction logs. That information helps with site security, diagnostics, and performance.
Your requests
You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information that you submitted through the contact form by writing to scholarship@financialsumo.com. We may need enough information to verify the request and respond appropriately.
