The European-listed ETP tracks 10 cryptocurrencies and says crypto assets fully back it. Quarterly rebalancing and staking rewards add features, but investors can still lose money.

Launched in 2024, the CoinShares finanzen.net Top 10 Crypto ETP trades on XETRA and Gettex. Its price can still swing sharply.

The product tracks an index of 10 digital assets and is described as 100% physically backed by cryptocurrencies. According to finanzen.net, investors can buy or sell it through a bank or broker. It is listed in Europe, not the United States. U.S. investors should check whether their brokerage permits access and review the product's legal documents, along with its tax documents, before considering it.

What the index holds

The ETP follows the finanzen.net Top 10 Crypto Index, which is adjusted and reweighted every quarter. The schedule is intended to keep the index aligned with its 10 most important cryptocurrencies. The source material does not give the selection rules. It also leaves out individual holdings and weight limits, so investors should not assume equal allocations or expect the list to stay fixed between reviews.

The product's stated features include a 10-cryptocurrency index and 100% crypto backing. It also rebalances quarterly. The offering began in 2024. Its identifiers are WKN A4A50V and ISIN GB00BMY36D37. These details describe the product wrapper and its reference index, not future returns or the size of any potential loss.

Trading and staking

ETPs trade on an exchange like shares; ETFs are one category of ETP. The product materials say investors may also receive staking rewards generated by crypto assets. Staking involves participating in certain blockchain networks in return for rewards. Those payments are not company dividends or bank interest. Their availability and value depend on the underlying crypto and the product arrangements.

The European Securities and Markets Authority, or ESMA, has proposed disclosures on staking rewards. Its proposals also cover lock-up and unbonding periods. They address slashing risks and validator selection. Fee disclosures are another proposed requirement. ESMA says operational dependencies should be covered, along with how assets would be treated in insolvency.

The EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, or MiCA, sets a framework for crypto-asset services. It does not turn a crypto ETP into a bank deposit or guarantee its investment value. ESMA has also said that MiCA-authorised crypto-asset service providers should stop providing services related to non-MiCA-compliant stablecoins to EU clients. Limited operations are allowed, including liquidation or conversion. The measure also covers withdrawal. Transfer and custody are among the permitted operations, as set out in its supervisory expectations. That measure concerns stablecoins and related services, not the ETP itself.

The product trades during the usual XETRA or Gettex hours, and finanzen.net ZERO offers a savings-plan option, according to the supplied product information. That access does not guarantee low risk or liquidity at a particular price. The price an investor receives can depend on trading conditions. The source does not state the product's fees. A market update dated October 10, 2026, put the ETP at about €11 and reported a daily change of roughly 1.1%. It cited performance of 19.3% since launch. The portfolio trade-offs are similar to those discussed in this ETF risk discussion: holding several assets can spread exposure, but it cannot prevent losses.

Risks and disclosure

The marketing material classifies crypto investments and crypto ETPs as high-risk. It says they are suitable only for speculative investors. Crypto prices can fall sharply. An index with 10 assets remains concentrated in one volatile asset class, rather than spread across stocks or bonds. Cash is another asset class it does not include. Physical backing describes how the product is supported; it does not protect its market value or guarantee investors will recover their full capital.

There is also a commercial disclosure. finanzen.net GmbH receives compensation from a third party for marketing the product, and that compensation increases with the amount invested. The source provides no fee schedule. It also omits detailed index methodology. U.S. tax treatment is not stated.

Rebalancing changes the index mix on a schedule; it does not forecast which crypto asset will perform best. The ETP holds underlying assets rather than relying solely on a promise to track their prices. Investors still face market and custody risks. They also face risks tied to the product structure. Staking rewards can add another source of return, but their value depends on the arrangements for the assets that generate them.
